Agreement to these terms

MyJar is developed and published by Sandip Pandey, Kalanki, Kathmandu 44600, Bagmati Province, Nepal (“MyJar”, “we”). MyJar is published as com.myjar.app on Google Play and com.myjar.myjar on the App Store.

By downloading, installing, or using MyJar, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use MyJar.

This EULA is between you and MyJar only. It is not an agreement with Apple or Google, and neither is responsible for MyJar or its contents.

Licence

MyJar grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use MyJar on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.

On Apple devices this licence is governed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including any permitted use across devices in a Family Sharing group.

MyJar is not financial advice

MyJar is a tracking and motivation tool. It records numbers you enter yourself. It does not hold, move, invest, or have access to your money, and it is not a bank, payment service, broker, or licensed financial adviser.

Forecast dates, pace figures, insights, and currency conversions are estimates for your own planning. They can be wrong, out of date, or based on stale exchange rates. Do not rely on them for financial, tax, or legal decisions. Decisions about your money remain yours alone.

MyJar Pro subscriptions

MyJar Pro is an optional paid upgrade unlocking unlimited jars, the multi-currency portfolio, every home-screen widget style, advanced insights, and per-jar reminders.

• Plans and prices. The available plans, their exact length, and their price in your local currency are shown in the app before you buy, on the MyJar Pro screen. Prices are set per region and may differ between regions.
• Auto-renewal. Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase, and again on each renewal. MyJar never sees or stores your card details.
• Lifetime. Where a lifetime option is offered, it is a one-time payment. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
• Price changes. If a price rises, the store will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the next renewal.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep Pro features until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by MyJar, and MyJar cannot issue or guarantee a refund on their behalf. Unused portions of a period are not refundable except where the store's policy or your local consumer law requires it.

Your data and your responsibility for it

Your jars, amounts, and history are stored on your device. How MyJar handles information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Because this data is local, you are responsible for keeping it. Losing your device, uninstalling MyJar, or clearing app data can remove your savings history permanently, and MyJar has no server-side copy to restore from.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of MyJar except where that restriction is prohibited by law; work around, disable, or tamper with purchase verification or the free-tier limits; resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute MyJar; or use MyJar to break any applicable law.

Third-party services

Optional features rely on outside services, each with its own terms, and you agree to comply with any third-party terms that apply to your use of MyJar.

MyJar does not control these services and is not responsible for their availability or accuracy. A service being unreachable may make the feature that depends on it temporarily unavailable.

Availability and changes

MyJar may update, change, or discontinue features. Where a change would remove a significant part of what a live subscription paid for, MyJar will give reasonable notice. MyJar does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Intellectual property

MyJar, its name, artwork, and code remain the property of MyJar and its licensors. This EULA grants a licence to use the app, not ownership of it. The savings data you enter remains yours.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyJar is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under your local law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyJar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost savings data, lost profits, or financial decisions made in reliance on the app.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for MyJar in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Termination

This EULA applies until terminated. It ends automatically if you stop using and delete MyJar, and MyJar may terminate it if you materially breach these terms. On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the app. Sections 10 to 12 survive termination.

Legal compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple-specific terms

These terms apply where you obtained MyJar from the Apple App Store, and are required by Apple.

• Acknowledgement. This EULA is between you and MyJar only, not Apple. MyJar alone is responsible for the app and its content.
• Maintenance and support. MyJar is solely responsible for any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide either.
• Warranty. MyJar is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If MyJar fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to MyJar.
• Product claims. MyJar, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
• Intellectual property. If a third party claims MyJar infringes their intellectual property rights, MyJar, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce it against you.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when features, billing arrangements, or legal obligations change. The revised version will show a new “Last updated” date, and continuing to use MyJar after that date means you accept it. Material changes affecting a live subscription will be notified in the app or by the store.

Governing law

This EULA is governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

This does not remove any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law of the country where you live, and it does not prevent you from bringing a claim in your local courts where that law entitles you to.
